Radcliffe Orchestra
This orchestra consists mainly of members of the healthcare profession, including many from the John Radcliffe Hospital and other Oxford hospitals, and we have been rehearsing and performing there for over 22 years. There are three concerts a year and we often fill the Tingewick hall with an enthusiastic audience. Each concert is in aid of one or more medical charities.
Our next performance is to be held on Saturday 13th November 2010, in the Tingewick Hall of the John Radcliffe hospital. We are delighted to welcome Jonathan Timms as our conductor for this concert.
All proceeds from the concert will go towards
Rosie's Rainbow Fund
.
The music for this concert is:
| Overture to Hansel and Gretel | - | Humperdinck |
|
Piano Concerto No.1
(Soloist: Jamie Thompson) |
- | Tchaikovsky |
| Symphony No. 4 | - | Glazunov |
Ticket are £10 (£8 concessions), available from the Cairns Library on the JR site, Customer service desk (second floor), and on the door. Tickets include cheese and wine after the performance and all proceeds from the concert will go to the charity supported by the concert.
